We will be hosting our Drivers Dinner at the Earl of March again (however as per last year it will again round off the track day on the evening of Thursday, 06th June: there may be prizes…).

And as it proved so popular with everyone last year, we will again be holding our fun and informal Quiz Supper at the Star & Garter pub in East Dean on the evening of Wednesday, 5th June… this is a good opportunity to meet your fellow drivers before the track day.

Classics on Track for Children will also be running our much loved Gold and Silver Envelope prize draw again! Goodwood, the Duke and Duchess of Richmond and some of our other kind supporters have donated a selection of exciting and special prizes which will be placed at random into Golden Envelopes. These envelopes are priced at £20.00 or £50.00 each and will be available to purchase at the Quiz Supper, at the track day, and that evening at the Drivers Dinner.

If you pick a winning envelope, congratulations, your contribution goes 100% directly to the children’s charities Classics on Track for Children are supporting.

Michael (Spike) Milligan on behalf of Classics on Track for Children will again be hosting our Drivers Dinner at the Earl of March, and as last year, it will round off the track day on the evening of Thursday 6th June: so be prepared… there may be prizes…

In addition, as it proved so popular last year, we will again hold our quiz supper on the evening before our track day as well. Hosted by Paul Auston, on Wednesday, 5th June (the evening before the track day), a fun and informal quiz supper will take place at the Star & Garter pub… a good opportunity to meet and pit your wits against your fellow drivers before the track day.

Partners and friends for both the Drivers Dinner and Quiz Supper are more than welcome to come along too. If you have any dietary requirements for either just let us know.

Important Information

Please be aware, throughout the day we may run a number of short passenger ride sessions – a full schedule will be available on the day.

On arrival at Goodwood please park any support cars and trailers to paddock 3 and move your car into your designated bay in paddock 1 (details to follow closer to the date).

Please then sign on in the Jackie Stewart Pavilion, remember to bring your driving licence and a helmet, Goodwood can loan you a helmet for a contribution to the charity fund.

There may be the opportunity to drop your car to Goodwood the night before – please contact us for information.

All drivers MUST attend the driver briefing, if you miss the main briefing then a one-to-one will be held when you arrive. Please note no-one is allowed on the circuit without attending a drivers briefing, a driver/passenger wristband and the indemnity forms must be completed.

This is a 105db day, if noise does not become an issue then we should be able to field around 8 cars out at any one time. In the event your car fails a noise test there will be no refund.

This track day is, as in previous years, a great day out for serious drivers who appreciate quality machinery.

Please remember, the golden rules of the day are: no overtaking on the entry, exit or around corners – only on straights and by consent, slower cars must give way by indicating, staying to the right of the circuit, and thus giving room on the straights to faster cars coming up behind.

More details will follow closer to the event, and the Goodwood drivers regs and indemnity forms are on our website, please download, read, complete and sign. These will also be available on the day.

If any driver/owner would like to offer to take a passenger for 3 laps during the day we would be delighted. The passenger will have to be signed on and will have paid a contribution of £50.00 to the charity fund. We may run a challenge to see how many drivers can sign up as many passengers as possible, more info to follow…

The light lunch provided is for drivers only and is sponsored by Paul Auston. If you will be accompanied for the track day and wish for your colleagues to have lunch with you, please contact us in advance or asap on the day and we can (for a small contribution) arrange it.

Thank you for your support in making this Classics on Track for Children event a success, it is much appreciated.

Passenger Info

There may also during the Classics on Track for Children track day be the opportunity, for a donation, to have a passenger ride in one of a number of classic and GT cars including the likes of the Southern GT40, Austin Healey 3000, Aston Martin DB5 and other Revival and HRDC event cars etc.

To book a passenger ride go to the booking desk set up in the paddock area outside the Jackie Stewart pavilion. You will be able to pay by cash, credit or debit card and the cost is £50.00 for 3 laps of the circuit.

The drivers are all skilled and in addition to road licences, most will also hold a race licence. Please be aware however any form of high speed track experience presents a risk however slight and all passengers must complete an indemnity form and participation is entirely at your own risk.

You will need to complete a passenger indemnity form, obtain a qualifying wristband and a properly fitting helmet. You will then be
directed to the boarding area by a Classics on Track for Children volunteer where you will meet your driver and get in the car!

Please ensure that your seat belt is secured correctly and equally importantly, that your arms and legs are covered. No shorts or short sleeved tee shirts are allowed as the marshals will not allow your participation if you do not comply with this safety rule.

If you are over 18 you will be required to sign a Goodwood disclaimer, in the event that a person under 18 is wanting to book a passenger ride then the responsible parent or guardian must confirm acceptance by signing.

Passengers in cars will need to be generally 1.50m in height and 14 years of age to comply with Goodwood insurance. However, we will at the opening and during the afternoon, run some parade laps, there is no restriction on these, however the child must be able to sit in a seat with a seat belt, and helmets are not required.

If you have any questions please contact us.

You can download an indemnity form. These will also be available on the day.
